RKH launches a new sculpture edition titled ‘Drawing on Form - Animal’. Inspired by the immediacy of working with materials synonymous with model making and maquettes, of late Hart has been interested in shifting his often preconceived sculptural practice, and replacing it with dynamic and spontaneous decision making. ‘Drawing on Form - Animal’ was initially made out of cardboard, and for this edition of 10 Hart emulates the temporary and fragile aesthetic by painting, scoring, drawing on and bending an irregular sheet of metal into a 3 dimensional form, resulting in the animation of surface into movement.
Hart is currently working on a series of large scale versions of this new hybrid sculpture / drawing direction.
